Our commitment
This site aims to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. It is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we've done
- A skip link at the top of every page jumps straight to the main content
- Headings are in order and pages use landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer
- Text and controls meet color contrast requirements, and keyboard focus is always visible
- Illustrations have text alternatives, and decorative icons are hidden from screen readers
- Pages reflow to a single column on small screens and when zoomed to 400 percent
Known limitations
This is a demonstration site. The sign-in forms are deliberately inactive, and they say so when you use them. Some links lead to summary pages rather than full services.
Feedback
Because the department is fictional, this site has no feedback channel. If you need an accommodation from a real agency, contact that agency directly.
